Nov 2014 – Missy takes the blue ribbon at her first show. A day over 6 months of age and the best comment of the class had to be when the judge checked under her tail and proclaimed, “she even has crimp under there!” But on a more serious note…we are thrilled that the judge saw through the others to see that Missy (Microburst) packs more fiber per square centimeter on her frame than the others and said this out loud. Even though there were others that had longer staple (due to age), Missy rose to the top due to density, tightly packed bundles and overall package. Indeed – this is a NICE girl! Wait until we shear her properly and get her growing!
**Update 8/13/14 – Microburst continues to impress. Topping the scales at over 60# at the age of less than three months, this is not a small cria by any means, this offspring of Storm is absolutely living up to her name and taking the pasture by “storm”!
Indeed, she clears a path – certainly not a dainty little female pronking lightly – charging through as if on a mission. She lets the others know that she is in charge and she is Storm’s daughter.
Run for cover when this MICROBURST arrives in your town… you just get blown away. You see the storm brewing … and you anticipate the impact…but when it hits the ground…all you can say is…”WOW”. That is exactly what we have here…our own Microburst! The result of STORM and Lucy! And … well, “WOW”!
This female is the combination of a Canadian Futurity Color Champion (HP Hurricane’s Super Storm) and an Accoyo Godfather x Hemingway/Navidad daughter (MBY Lucy in the Sky). Holy smokes…this girl rocks!
